Job Description

This position is for a Family Nurse Practitioner (Advanced Practice Nurse) providing urgent care services across multiple centers in New Jersey.

  • Reports to the Medical Director and offers opportunities for professional growth in a rapidly expanding organization.
  • Key responsibilities include delivering direct patient care through physical exams, counseling, and developing treatment plans.
  • Performs diagnostic tests like x-rays, ECGs, and lab work, interpreting results to inform care.
  • Administers therapeutic procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, splinting, and wound management.
  • Prescribes medications and treatment regimens tailored to patient needs and coordinates ongoing care, including referrals.
  • Maintains clear communication with patients regarding test results and follow-up.
  • Requirements include an active New Jersey RN license, certification as an advanced practice nurse (preferably Family Nurse Practitioner), controlled substance registration, and DEA registration.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Prior urgent care or walk-in center experience is a plus, with at least one year of family medicine experience preferred. Compensation is based on experience.
