Job Description
– Conduct independent evaluations to assess students with speech or language disorders and determine eligibility for services.
Evaluate student progress and readiness for therapy termination. Plan and deliver individual and group therapy aligned with IEP goals. Participate in IEP meetings to interpret assessment data and assist with placement decisions. Set communication goals based on district procedures. Collaborate with teachers to enhance students’ communication skills through classroom activities. Provide professional development to school staff on communication deficits. Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents about therapy progress. Develop ongoing evaluation methods for speech-language services and adjust as needed. Assist in selecting equipment and instructional materials. Maintain accurate reports, records, and documentation, ensuring confidentiality. Adhere to federal, state, and district policies. Require a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders and ability to use accepted assessment tools. Work is in person, with a day shift, and compensation ranges from $2,000 to $2,064 weekly. Applicants must hold an active TX state license and have at least 2 years of SLP experience.
