Job Description
This speech-language pathologist position is a day shift from 08:30 to 15:10. Responsibilities include conducting independent evaluations for students with speech or language disorders to determine eligibility for services. Evaluating student progress and planning appropriate individual and group therapy aligned with IEP goals. Participating in IEP meetings to interpret assessment data and assist with student placement and goal-setting. Collaborating with teachers to implement communication improvement activities and providing professional development to school staff. Communicating effectively with colleagues, students, and parents about therapy progress. Developing and reviewing speech-language services, adjusting as needed, and assisting with equipment and instructional material selection. Maintaining accurate records and complying with legal policies, ensuring confidentiality. Required skills include strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities, along with knowledge of speech-language evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation. Must be proficient in using accepted assessment tools for communication disorders. Position is a contract role offering competitive weekly pay of $2,000-$2,064, with benefits like insurance, 401(k), CEUs, and support services. Applicants need at least 2 years of SLP experience and an active TX license. The role involves both in-person work and requires adherence to policies and confidentiality standards.
