Job Description
The Staff Speech-Language Pathologist supervises and participates in applying various speech and cognitive therapeutic techniques for patient rehabilitation.
Work is full-time during weekdays, primarily at the clinic, with occasional work at residential or community sites, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-4:30 pm, on a Per Diem basis. Their role involves evaluating patients to identify communication and cognitive problems such as dysarthria, apraxia, dysfluency, dysphagia, and related issues, determining severity and contributing factors. Develops, updates, and implements individualized treatment plans with specific goals, utilizing modules like cognition, attention, auditory rehabilitation, and others. Performs reporting procedures and consults with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members to instruct and advise on procedures and tests. Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders and current licensure or eligibility to practice in the state.
