Job Description

The Staff Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for supervising and implementing speech and cognitive therapy techniques for patient rehabilitation.

  • Work is full-time during weekdays, primarily at the clinic, with occasional work at residential or community sites, during hours 7:30 am-4:30 pm.
  • The role involves evaluating patients, identifying communication and cognitive issues such as dysarthria, apraxia, language, dysfluency, and dysphagia, and developing individualized treatment plans with both short- and long-term goals.
  • Therapeutic activities may include modules on cognition, attention, auditory rehabilitation, and other specialized techniques.
  • Performs reporting and consults with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to inform and advise on procedures and tests.
  • Requires a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders, current or eligible Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and licensure or eligibility for licensure in the practicing state.
