Job Description

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing routine care, support, and ensuring the safety and comfort of Sisters through activities of daily living (ADLs) and other procedures within their scope of practice.


  • Maintain a clean, safe environment aligned with Sisters’ needs, utilizing communication, infection control, safety, and age-related care techniques.

  • Collaborate with team members to achieve the organization’s mission, demonstrating core leadership competencies.

  • Provide direct care to Sisters as directed, assist with spiritual, social, grooming, and therapeutic activities, and support their participation.

  • Accurately observe, report, and record physiological, cognitive, and sensory data, and assist with ADLs or facilitate Sisters’ independence.

  • Manage supplies, equipment, and facility maintenance, and participate in ongoing education and orientation activities.

  • Apply HIPAA regulations, demonstrate effective communication, patience, and emotional maturity, and perform additional duties as needed.

  • Respect Sisters’ privacy, confidentiality, and personal preferences, encouraging participation in their care and reporting concerns appropriately.

  • Adhere to organizational policies, attend team meetings, participate in training, and contribute feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, current Texas CNA certification, BLS certification, and preferred gerontology experience. Full-time positions are available across all shifts.
