Job Description

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) provides routine care to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of Sisters, focusing on activities of daily living (ADLs) and other procedures within their scope.

  • Maintains a clean, safe environment by adhering to infection control, safety, and age-related care best practices.
  • Collaborates with staff and departments to support the organization’s mission, demonstrating leadership qualities.
  • Assists Sisters with personal care, encourages participation in activities, and reports observations to licensed nurses.
  • Manages supplies, maintains equipment, and reports maintenance needs while using resources responsibly.
  • Participates in ongoing education, team meetings, and supports new staff orientation.
  • Respects Sisters’ privacy, confidentiality, and care preferences, ensuring dignity and respect.
  • Follows organizational policies, procedures, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED, current CNA and BLS certification, with gerontology experience preferred.
  • Work schedule is PRN, per diem, as needed, not exceeding 1250 characters.
