Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to deliver high-quality urgent care in a fast-paced environment.
Perform comprehensive physical exams and assessments for urgent, emergent, and non-urgent cases. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging to aid diagnosis. Prescribe treatments, medications, vaccines, and provide referrals to specialists. Perform procedures such as laceration repair and orthopedics, and explain procedures and results to patients. Document findings and treatment plans in patient charts within 24-48 hours. Manage communications for events as needed. Physicians provide medical orders, supervision, and consultation, and review charts. They also assist during emergencies via telecommunication. Handle special projects and duties; position is safety-sensitive. Qualifications include an accredited medical, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant degree; current licensure; board certification for NPs; DEA; and BLS certification. Preferred minimum 1 year of experience. Skills include knowledge of medical coding, regulations (OSHA, HIPAA), and proficiency with PC applications; ability to supervise staff.
