Job Description

The Nurse Practitioner at Pineville Junior High provides primary care within the scope allowed by the Louisiana Nurse Practice Act, under supervision.

  • Responsibilities include performing assessments, diagnoses, treatments, health education, and referrals, while maintaining accurate patient records and participating in policy development and review.
  • They collaborate with healthcare team members, practice independently or jointly, and utilize protocols for medical care.
  • The role involves managing acute and chronic conditions, prescribing medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, and promoting health and disease prevention.
  • Additional duties include patient education, teaching healthcare professionals, participating in research, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • The candidate must hold current licensure, a valid DEA license, and BLS certification, with bilingual skills preferred.
  • The work schedule is full-time, five days a week, eight hours daily.
