Full-time internal medicine physician position at a 334-bed Level II Trauma Center with a 50-bed ICU. Offers a 7 on/7 off schedule, with EMR using Epic, and full specialty support. Procedures are not required. Compensation ranges from $323,000 to $388,000 annually, with comprehensive benefits including 401(k), health/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, relocation assistance, and flexible spending accounts. Staffing involves 10 MD/DOs + 2 NP/PAs from 7am-7pm, plus coverage during evening shifts. The facility is a community-owned, non-profit hospital with centers of excellence in breast imaging, accredited cancer and bariatric programs, and a primary stroke center. The location is Lafayette, Louisiana, a vibrant town known for its Cajun & Creole culture, affordable living, quality education, and proximity to Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Schedule includes 12-hour night shifts. Requirements include completion of an ACGME Internal Medicine Residency, and preferred certifications include DEA, Louisiana medical license, and board certification in internal medicine.
