Job Description

The Program Manager Patient Safety Nurse Health Plan is responsible for developing and maintaining the patient safety program in collaboration with the Quality Manager, ensuring compliance with contractual and accreditation standards.

  • They review and assess patient safety medical records, prepare summaries for the Medical Director and Peer Review Committee, and coordinate meetings, including scheduling, materials, and documentation of minutes in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • The role involves providing feedback to providers, facilities, and departments, and offering ongoing support and education to enhance patient safety initiatives.
  • They monitor program progress, identify trends, and suggest action plans to address deviations from goals.
  • Additional duties include conducting routine assessments, evaluating clinical documentation processes, and participating in quality improvement activities.
  • The position requires an Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor’s preferred), RN licensure, at least 2 years of EMR experience, and 4 years of clinical experience preferred.
  • The role is full-time, emphasizing collaboration across departments to optimize patient safety, reduce readmissions, and improve clinical outcomes.
