Job Description
The Nurse Practitioner will provide primary care to clinic patients under supervision, within the scope of practice defined by education and licensure.
Responsibilities include performing assessments, diagnostics, treatments, health education, and disease prevention for adolescents and children. Collaborate with healthcare team members, refer patients as needed, and maintain accurate health records in compliance with regulatory standards. Practice independently and in partnership with medical staff, utilizing protocols and authorization mechanisms. Prescribe medications, perform advanced procedures, and participate in ongoing education, research, and quality improvement efforts. Ensure adherence to organizational values, strategic goals, and performance improvement plans. Qualifications include current licensure in Louisiana, DEA registration, BLS certification, excellent communication skills, and bilingual abilities preferred. This full-time position involves working five 8-hour days.
