Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering speech therapy services to residents, ensuring high-quality care while complying with regulations.
- Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, based on physician orders.
- Conduct screenings within 24 hours of admission and for residents with significant changes or referrals.
- Participate in facility meetings, develop resident programs, and support certification standards.
- Follow infection control and residents’ rights policies, manage caseload scheduling, and provide staff education.
- Maintain professional conduct, communicate effectively, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure, and certification. The role offers flexible hours (1-16 per week), with pay ranging from $35-$45/hour, and benefits such as an employee assistance program, retirement plan, and flexible schedule.
