Job Description

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will deliver specialized inpatient care for cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients in the CVICU and CV Stepdown units.

  • Schedule: PRN, 12-hour daytime shifts, no on-call, in-person coverage.
  • Responsibilities include patient assessments, developing treatment plans, ordering tests, prescribing medications, bedside procedures, and patient education.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards and document care accurately.
  • Education: Master’s in Nursing (within 24 months if pending).
  • Experience: Minimum one year in CVT surgery or advanced practice nursing; CVICU experience preferred.
  • Licensure: RN license required; Nurse Practitioner license and national certification preferred; BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and familiarity with CVT protocols are preferred.
