Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering speech therapy services to residents, ensuring high-quality care in compliance with regulations.
Conduct evaluations and treatments for residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, following physician orders. Perform resident screenings upon admission and upon significant changes. Participate in facility meetings, staff training, and care planning to support resident functioning. Help meet certification standards and follow infection control and residents’ rights guidelines. Manage caseload scheduling, staff education, and communicate staffing needs with administration. Present professionally, collaborate with healthcare teams, and advocate for residents and families. Qualifications: Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, state licensure, ASHA certification, and preferably SNF experience. Excellent communication, computer skills, and teamwork are required.
Compensation: $50-$60/hour, 1-16 hours/week, with benefits including flexible schedule, retirement, and employee assistance.
