Job Description
The Wound Care Provider (MD/DO) reports to the CMO and supervises Nurses & Medical Assistants.
Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities, managing chronic wounds and complex skin conditions. Conducts assessments, develops care plans, educates patients/caregivers, and collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure optimal healing. Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, valid MD/DO license, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Wound Care Certification must be obtained within 6 months. Must be physically capable of fieldwork, including lifting and mobility tasks, and have reliable transportation.
Work involves travel (up to 25%), exposure to biohazards, and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities include wound assessment, treatment, supervision of staff, documentation, and coordination with care teams. Strong assessment, communication, and adaptability skills are essential.
