Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS, LCAS-A, CADC)

Job Description

The Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS, LCAS-A, CCS) provides confidential addiction counseling, education, and support to individuals, families, and the community to promote healthy lifestyles.

Offers individual, family, and group counseling on addiction causes and effects, including assessments and treatment planning.

Identifies treatment needs, assists with funding, and supports goals for recovery and wellness.

Educates high-risk populations through workshops and community programs.

Maintains accurate records, collaborates with other departments, and adheres to confidentiality and legal standards.

Works closely with community resources to support clients’ employment, education, and relationship rebuilding.

Requirements include relevant licensure/certification, at least one year of SUD experience preferred, and the ability to work in person.
