Job Description

The Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS, LCAS-A, CCS) provides confidential addiction counseling, education, and support to individuals, families, and the community to promote healthy lifestyles.

  • Offers individual, family, and group counseling on addiction causes and effects, including assessments and treatment planning.
  • Identifies treatment needs, assists with funding, and supports goals for recovery and wellness.
  • Educates high-risk populations through workshops and community programs.
  • Maintains accurate records, collaborates with other departments, and adheres to confidentiality and legal standards.
  • Works closely with community resources to support clients’ employment, education, and relationship rebuilding.

  • Requirements include relevant licensure/certification, at least one year of SUD experience preferred, and the ability to work in person.
