We are a community mental health center serving Jefferson, Blount, and St. Clair counties, dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality, and cost-effective mental health services with a focus on client dignity and satisfaction.
We seek a dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient team, providing comprehensive mental health care for adolescents aged 5-18 experiencing Serious Emotional Disturbance such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, or ODD.
Responsibilities include diagnostic evaluations, medication management, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, patient and family education, and maintaining accurate records. The position is full-time or part-time, working Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, fully in person in Birmingham, AL.
Minimum qualifications: a master’s or doctorate in Nursing with certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a current license, or a master’s in Physician Assistant Studies with appropriate licensure and at least one year of relevant experience. Preferred skills include DEA licensure and knowledge of community mental health policies.
