Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Psychiatrist for a long-term inpatient psychiatric facility. The role involves managing an average caseload of 40 patients with complex diagnoses, including NGRI, SVP, PIST, schizophrenia, mood disorders, personality disorders, substance use, and paraphilias.

Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, treatment planning, medication management, and participating in interdisciplinary team meetings. The psychiatrist will serve as Psychiatric Officer of the Day 2–4 times weekly (daytime only, with optional on-call for additional pay), and collaborate with various clinical staff. Additional duties such as supervision, psychotherapy, substance abuse treatment, release evaluations, and court testimony may be assigned.

The position offers a schedule of 40 hours per week, no weekends or holidays required, with optional on-call. Compensation ranges from $140 to $160 per hour. The work is in person, serving adult patients with severe mental illness, with an average stay of several months.
