Job Description

Seeking a Primary Care Physician for a correctional facility in Wasco, CA, for a 6-month locum tenens position with potential extension.

Setting: Corrections, outpatient unit, with multiple shift options available.

Pay Rate: $230-$235/hr.

Qualifications:

  • Current CA Medical License (MD or DO)
  • DEA certification
  • Board certification in Internal or Family Medicine
  • ACLS certification

    • Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat acute/chronic illnesses
  • Conduct check-ups and health exams
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Collaborate with healthcare team
  • Educate patients on preventive care
  • Prescribe and adjust medications
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Support rehabilitation efforts

    • Work involves in-person duties with flexible shifts, contributing to healthcare in a correctional setting.
