Job Description
The Speech-Language Pathologist evaluates and treats communication disorders in pediatric clients from birth to 18, focusing on language, articulation, voice, pragmatics, fluency, and executive functioning.
Based on experience, they may also assess and treat feeding and swallowing issues.
The role includes preparing treatment plans, creating personalized goals, and documenting evaluations and therapies.
They support families to implement strategies and may serve as a CF Supervisor every two years.
The position requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, passing the Praxis exam, completing a Clinical Fellowship Year, and licensure or eligibility in Illinois.
The ideal candidate is passionate about working with neurodiverse children, skilled in computer applications and collaborative teamwork, and possesses strong communication, creativity, attention to detail, problem-solving, and initiative skills.
