Job Description

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) provides comprehensive, family-centered care for infants and toddlers up to age 2, including primary, acute, chronic, and critical care.

In collaboration with healthcare teams, the NNP conducts assessments, diagnoses, treats, and manages acute and chronic conditions, prescribes medications, orders tests, and offers health education and counseling.

Key responsibilities include advocating for patients and families, promoting self-management, leading care management, participating in quality improvement, ensuring safety through evidence-based practice, and utilizing informatics for decision support.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, professional development, and contribution to practice advancement.

Requirements include a BSN and MSN with NNP certification, RN and APRN licensure, at least three years of neonatal experience, and certifications like BLS, NRP, and PALS.
