Job Description
We are hiring immediately for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to work at a private school serving students with severe, multiple disabilities, many of whom are non-verbal and medically fragile.
The role involves identifying, assessing, and treating speech, voice, language, oral/motor, and feeding disorders, following IEP or IFSP plans.
- Develops and implements individual and group therapy programs.
- Supervises and evaluates instructional staff, students, and volunteers.
- Collaborates with physicians, families, and other professionals on diagnostics and therapy plans.
- Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and student progress.
- Participates in professional development and writes letters for AAC device justification.
- Performs evaluations related to early intervention and special education programs.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree, NYS license in Speech Language Pathology, and at least one year of experience preferred. Compensation ranges from $48,000 to $68,000 annually, with benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more. The position is based in Amherst, NY, with in-person work required.
