Seeking an Illinois-licensed Nurse Practitioner for a growing oncology practice in Decatur, IL, primarily working in the clinic with occasional travel to other locations.
Summary: Under physician supervision, the NP provides primary care, performs medical services, and integrates into the hematology/oncology team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities include: obtaining patient histories, conducting physical exams, ordering diagnostics, assisting in procedures, administering medications, patient education, triage, emergency evaluations, monitoring ongoing care, participating in research and quality initiatives, and collaborating with physicians for illness management.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited NP program, current Illinois licensure, CPR certification, and EPIC training. Must demonstrate strong clinical skills, adaptability, excellent communication, and adherence to confidentiality standards.
Physical & mental demands: Ability to perform physical tasks, work in a fast-paced environment, and handle stress. Exposure to blood, body fluids, and chemotherapeutic agents is possible.
