Job Description
The Family Nurse Practitioner provides medical consultation, diagnosis, and treatment under supervision, including exams, ordering/tests, developing care plans, and prescribing medications within legal guidelines.
They perform procedures, maintain accurate charts, and educate patients on health topics like STD prevention. Supervision of staff and participation in quality assurance are essential.
Qualifications include a valid California license, NP certification, DEA, RN license, and BLS certification, with preferred clinical experience. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
Physical demands involve exposure to biological hazards and light to moderate lifting. The role entails working Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays, traveling between clinic locations, and earning $65-$80/hour. In-person work with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities is expected.
