Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing speech therapy services to ensure high-quality resident care in accordance with regulations and facility standards.

  • Conduct evaluations and provide treatment for residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, following physician orders.
  • Perform resident screenings within 24 hours of admission and upon significant changes or referrals.
  • Participate in meetings, develop resident programs, and assist in meeting certification standards.
  • Adhere to infection control policies, resident rights, and maintain professional conduct.
  • Manage scheduling, provide staff in-services, and communicate staffing needs.
  • Qualifications include a Master’s degree, state licensure, Asha certification, and preferably SNF experience. Strong communication skills and computer proficiency are required.

    Pay ranges from $50.00-$60.00/hour with flexible hours (1-16 per week). Benefits include an employee assistance program, flexible schedule, and retirement plan. Work is conducted in person.
