Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing speech therapy services to ensure high-quality resident care in accordance with regulations and facility standards.
Conduct evaluations and provide treatment for residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, following physician orders. Perform resident screenings within 24 hours of admission and upon significant changes or referrals. Participate in meetings, develop resident programs, and assist in meeting certification standards. Adhere to infection control policies, resident rights, and maintain professional conduct. Manage scheduling, provide staff in-services, and communicate staffing needs. Qualifications include a Master’s degree, state licensure, Asha certification, and preferably SNF experience. Strong communication skills and computer proficiency are required.
Pay ranges from $50.00-$60.00/hour with flexible hours (1-16 per week). Benefits include an employee assistance program, flexible schedule, and retirement plan. Work is conducted in person.
