Job Description
We are seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor/Therapist to provide services for children and adults.
Conduct psychosocial assessments to identify strengths and challenges related to diagnosis, illness, or life situations. Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans using clinical social work interventions, including crisis, individual, marital, or family therapies. Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed. Participate in staff conferences, collaborate with therapy teams, and develop evaluation and therapy plans. Maintain detailed case records and document assessments, interventions, and progress. Educate patients and families on adaptation and treatment issues. Maintain knowledge of community resources and liaise with agencies. Provide consultative support to healthcare team members within scope of practice. Ensure confidentiality and comply with documentation standards. Some travel may be required. Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Behavioral Science or related field, and licensure as LMHC, tLMHC, LMSW, or LISW in Iowa.
