Job Description

This full-time speech and language pathologist position involves evaluating, planning, and providing therapy services to residents based on physician referrals or assessments, under supervision.

• Screen residents to determine speech therapy needs and evaluate in accordance with physician orders.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with medical staff.
• Deliver speech therapy services and maintain detailed records of evaluations, treatments, and progress.
• Provide staff training on communication issues and contribute to policy development.
• Must have a master’s degree in speech-language pathology, CCC-SLP certification, and NY state licensure.

Required skills include knowledge of speech therapy principles, conditions affecting residents, resource awareness, and teamwork abilities.
