Job Description
We are seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor/Therapist to provide services for patients aged children and up.
Conduct psychosocial assessments to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and challenges related to diagnoses and life situations. Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans utilizing clinical social work interventions, including crisis, individual, marital, and family therapies. Provide crisis intervention, emergency services, and participate in team case reviews to optimize patient care. Maintain detailed records of assessments, interventions, and patient progress, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with standards. Educate patients and families on adaptation and coping strategies related to health conditions. Coordinate with community resources and serve as a consultative resource for healthcare team members. Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Behavioral Science or related field and licensure such as LMHC, tLMHC, LMSW, or LISW in Iowa. Some travel may be required.
This is an in-person position focused on delivering psychosocial support within a community health setting.
