Job Description

The Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS, LCAS-A, CCS) provides confidential addiction counseling, education, and support to individuals, families, and the community to promote healthy lifestyles and choices.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, identifying appropriate treatment options, assisting with funding resources, and providing individual, family, and group counseling about addiction and recovery. The counselor develops treatment goals, monitors progress, and maintains accurate records while ensuring confidentiality and adhering to legal and organizational policies.

The role involves community outreach, educational workshops, and collaboration with other agencies to enhance services. Knowledge of ASAM criteria and experience in substance use disorder treatment are preferred.
