Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering speech therapy services to ensure high-quality resident care in compliance with applicable regulations.


  • Evaluates and treats residents with speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, following physician orders.
  • Conducts resident screenings within 24 hours of admission and upon significant changes or referrals.
  • Participates in facility meetings, staff in-services, and care planning to develop resident programs and support facility standards.
  • Maintains infection control policies, upholds residents’ rights, and manages caseload scheduling.
  • Communicates with administration regarding staffing and productivity, and provides staff education.
  • Maintains professional conduct, attire, and communication at all times.

  • Qualifications include a Master’s degree, state licensure, and Asha certification, with preferred SNF experience. The role offers flexible hours (1-16/week), competitive pay ($50-$60/hr), and benefits such as an employee assistance program, retirement plan, and flexible scheduling.
