Hospice Board Certified Music Therapist/Volunteer Coordinator

Job Description

The Music Therapist provides individualized music therapy services to address patients’ physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs in a hospice setting.

Assess, develop, and implement therapy plans; evaluate patient progress and communicate with physicians.

Initiate therapy programs, train family/caregivers, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Prepare clinical summaries, offer consultation, and provide in-service education to staff.

Participate in quality improvement activities and orientation programs.

Qualifications: Baccalaureate or master’s degree in approved music therapy program, certification, at least 2 years of experience (community/hospice preferred), current CPR, valid driver’s license, and understanding of hospice philosophy.
