Job Description
We are seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor/Therapist to provide services for individuals starting from children.
Conduct psychosocial assessments of patients and families to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and issues related to diagnosis and life situations. Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans using clinical social work interventions, including crisis, individual, marital, and family therapies. Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed. Participate in staff conferences, collaborate with therapy teams, and develop tailored therapy programs. Maintain detailed case records and document assessments, interactions, and interventions per guidelines. Educate patients and families on adaptation to diagnoses and treatments. Liaise with community agencies and resources; provide consultative support to healthcare team members. Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with legal and organizational record-keeping standards. Some travel may be required. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Behavioral Science or related field, with LMHC, tLMHC, LMSW, or LISW licensure in Iowa. This is an in-person position.
