Job Description

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in this role provides comprehensive, on-site psychiatric care in an acute mental health facility.

· Responsibilities include conducting physical exams, initial patient assessments, prescribing medications, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with the team.

· Must work independently, ensure HIPAA compliance, and maintain accurate medical records.

· Qualifications include a Master’s degree in nursing, state licensure, DEA certification, and experience in mental health or behavioral medicine.

· Key duties involve delivering direct patient care, managing medical interventions, evaluating treatment effectiveness, and adhering to all legal and regulatory standards.
