Job Description

We are seeking a motivated *Physician Assistant (PA-C)* or *Nurse Practitioner* to join our orthopedic team specializing in total joint replacement (hip and knee).

  • Conduct preoperative evaluations and optimize patient health prior to surgery
  • Assist in the operating room during hip and knee replacement procedures
  • Perform inpatient rounding, discharge planning, and postoperative follow-up
  • Manage outpatient clinics, including new patient assessments and routine follow-ups
  • Educate patients on procedures, recovery, and rehabilitation
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and recommend physical therapy
  • Participate in quality improvement and clinical research initiatives
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in the EMR system

    • Qualifications include current licensure, NCCPA or board certification, DEA registration, and BLS/ACLS certification. Orthopedic or surgical experience is preferred. The role is full-time, in person in Bakersfield, CA, with benefits and competitive salary. Relocation and commuting to Bakersfield are required.
