Job Description
This full-time position involves practicing medicine under physician supervision, including conducting exams and prescribing medications. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) exercises autonomy in medical decision-making, offering diagnostic and therapeutic services across primary care areas such as family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, surgery, and subspecialties. The role includes virtual inpatient care—admitting, managing, coordinating, and discharging hospitalized patients—and may involve education, research, and administrative duties.
- Requires knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, pharmacology, and clinical procedures.
- Skills in patient assessment, developing care plans, and evaluating health status.
- Ability to make informed decisions, collaborate with physicians, and educate patients and staff.
- Proficient in using medical instruments, electronic records, and Microsoft Office.
- Minimum 1-2 years inpatient or critical care experience preferred; new grads with strong rotations considered.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree and completion of an accredited PA or APRN program. Licensure (PA or Nurse Practitioner) preferred. Must relocate to Harlan, KY before starting. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans.
