Job Description
The Family Practice with Obstetrics (FPOB) Physician provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, with a focus on prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum care.
The role includes
Full-spectrum family medicine services such as wellness exams, chronic disease management, urgent care, and minor procedures. Obstetric care including prenatal visits, labor management, deliveries (vaginal and C-sections if credentialed), and postpartum follow-up. Care for newborns and pediatric patients as part of family-centered care. Coordination with multidisciplinary teams and participation in quality improvement and patient-centered initiatives. Patient education on health promotion and disease prevention. Documentation in the EHR, community outreach, and after-hours call coverage, including hospital labor and delivery shifts.Qualifications include an MD or DO degree, completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency, additional obstetric training, unrestricted medical license, board certification or eligibility, and hospital privileges. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and ALSO are preferred.
