This position offers a $1,000 signing bonus paid with the first paycheck, contingent on remaining employed for one year.
It involves providing individual and group alcohol and drug education, counseling, screening, assessment, and referrals under clinical supervision. Responsibilities include maintaining client files, ensuring confidentiality, facilitating structured activities, modeling healthy lifestyles, coordinating with staff and external providers, managing emergencies, and ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, current counselor intern registration, preferably a bachelor’s degree and experience in substance abuse counseling. Skills include strong communication, rapport-building, case management, and knowledge of community resources. Bilingual skills are preferred. Reliable transportation and phone are required.
