We are seeking a full-time Psychiatrist for a contract role within the Massachusetts Department of Corrections, offering potential for permanent placement.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Conduct onsite psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments for inmates. Provide clinical supervision, approve treatment plans, and monitor their effectiveness. Manage medication and offer individual or group therapy as appropriate. Prepare discharge plans and ensure appropriate follow-up care. Participate in staff training, meetings, and collaborate with Behavioral Health Unit staff if applicable. Support psychiatric assessments for inpatient and general population inmates, including court testimony when needed. **Qualifications:**
Medical degree with psychiatric residency completed. Licensed to practice in Massachusetts and current DEA registration. **Work Details:**
Hourly pay ranges from $225-$278, with a minimum of 30 hours weekly, in an in-person setting.
