Job Description

The Language, Speech and Hearing Specialist facilitates student learning by diagnosing and developing individualized programs for those with communication challenges. They assess students, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and provide targeted therapy in small groups or one-on-one settings. The role includes developing and modifying IEP goals, consulting with staff and parents, and providing staff training. Responsibilities also involve maintaining records, staying current with regulations, and engaging in professional development. Qualifications require a valid credential for California public schools.
