Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Behavioral Health Counselor/Therapist to provide services for children and adults.
Conduct psychosocial assessments to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and challenges related to diagnosis and life situations.
Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans using clinical social work interventions, including crisis, individual, marital, and family therapies.
Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
Participate in staff conferences, collaborate with therapy teams, and develop therapy programs to optimize patient outcomes.
Maintain detailed case records, document assessments, interactions, and interventions, and ensure confidentiality.
Educate patients and families about adaptation to diagnoses and treatments.
Maintain knowledge of community resources, provide consultative support to healthcare teams, and adhere to organizational standards and legal requirements.
Some travel may be required.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Behavioral Science or related field and licensure (LMHC, tLMHC, LMSW, or LISW) in Iowa.
