Job Description
The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner reports to the Director of Nursing and supervises nurses and medical assistants.
Provides specialized wound care services in home, nursing home, and assisted living settings. Conducts assessments, develops care plans, and educates patients and caregivers. Collaborates with healthcare teams to optimize healing outcomes. Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, active NP licensure, wound care certification within 6 months, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Must be physically capable of fieldwork, including lifting and mobility tasks, and possess reliable transportation. Works independently, makes quick judgments, and maintains documentation while adhering to safety and confidentiality policies. Position involves travel to various care settings, exposure to biohazards, and requires strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Offers a full-time salary ranging from $125,000 to $175,000 with benefits including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
