Job Description
The primary care physician provides outpatient care, diagnosing and treating common illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions.
Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, ordering tests, performing procedures, and referring to specialists.
Expectations involve managing approximately 22 patients daily, handling walk-ins, and participating in afterhours call rotation (~1 week every 7-8 weeks).
Key duties encompass delivering excellent patient service, documenting thoroughly, collaborating with colleagues, supervising NP/PAs, and maintaining EMR proficiency.
Qualifications include a MD or DO degree, residency in family or internal medicine, active license, and preferred experience in ambulatory care and the Patient-Centered Medical Home model.
Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills, along with cultural sensitivity, are essential.
