Job Description

The Residential Counselor (Behavioral Care Specialist) position is a third-shift role (11P-7:30A) at a facility in Camden NJ, serving adolescents.
It offers a competitive pay of $24.50/hour plus full benefits including

Requirements include a

bachelor’s degree, valid driver’s license, one year of direct care experience with youth,

and physical ability to perform restraint procedures.
Key responsibilities involve establishing supportive relationships, supervising daily routines, implementing behavioral and treatment plans, facilitating programming and recreational activities, ensuring safety, and documenting youth progress.
The role demands strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, adherence to policies, and participation in ongoing training, including trauma-informed care and the Nurtured Heart Approach.
