The Licensed Mental Health Professional will be a key member of an innovative SOS team providing comprehensive, community-based care to street homeless or subway-dwelling individuals.
The multidisciplinary team includes a Team leader, Licensed Clinicians, Care Managers, and Peer Specialists, using the evidence-based Critical Time Intervention model. The role involves street outreach, coordinating needs pre- and post-housing, enhancing daily living skills, offering supportive counseling, and advocating for clients facing discrimination or healthcare disparities. Emphasizing member choice, harm reduction, and person-centered care, the clinician will support participants for months after housing to promote stability and independence. This field-based role requires flexible hours, periodic on-call work, and travel within three counties. Minimum qualifications include a licensed master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, nursing, or psychology, with MSW candidates considered if planning licensure and experience with homeless populations. This full-time position offers benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and flexible scheduling, with a salary of $32-$34/hour. Relocation to Norwich, NY, is required before starting work.
