The Nurse Practitioner/Physician’s Assistant at Hickory Recovery in Grinnell IA will provide comprehensive psychiatric care in an acute hospital setting.
Responsibilities include performing physical exams, initial patient assessments, prescribing medications, developing treatment plans, and coordinating care with the behavioral health team. Must work independently following safe practice standards and maintain compliance with all laws, regulations, and hospital policies. Requirements include a Master’s degree in nursing, state licensure with no stipulations, DEA certification, and experience in mental health or psychiatry. Additional qualifications involve BLS certification, X-waiver for prescribing Suboxone, strong communication skills, and proficiency with EMR systems.
