The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) reports to the Director of Nursing and supervises nurses and medical assistants.

They provide specialized wound care in home, nursing home, and assisted living settings, performing assessments, developing care plans, educating patients and caregivers, and collaborating with healthcare teams to promote healing.

Qualifications include a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, current NP licensure, wound care certification within 6 months, and at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Physical requirements involve considerable effort, including lifting and mobility, with travel to various patient locations.

The role demands independent judgment, adaptability, strong communication skills, and proper safety protocols.
