Job Description
The Wound Care Provider (MD/DO) reports to the CMO and supervises nurses and medical assistants.
Job Summary:
Provides specialized wound care in patients’ homes, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, developing care plans, patient/caregiver education, and collaborating with healthcare teams to promote healing.
Qualifications:
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, licensed as an MD/DO, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Must complete Wound Care Certification within 6 months.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Requires physical effort, including lifting and mobility tasks, and the ability to work independently, make quick judgments, and handle stress.
Work Conditions & Travel:
Field-based role involving travel to various care settings, with exposure to biohazards. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
Essential Functions:
Reassess wounds, provide treatments, supervise staff, document patient interactions, coordinate care, and adhere to safety and confidentiality protocols.
