Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist provides speech, language, swallowing, and hearing assessments and treatments for all age groups within the Special Education services Program.
Demonstrates expertise in language development, assessment, and intervention strategies.
Develops individualized plans, including classroom and home adaptations, and models developmentally appropriate practices.
Completes billing and Medicaid forms timely, collaborates on IEP development, and prepares therapy sessions aligned with children’s goals.
Delivers inclusive speech therapy services, promotes independence, and creates engaging, motivating treatment sessions.
Travels to community sites to provide therapy, conducts evaluations, and maintains accurate documentation.
Communicates positively with children, supports transitions, and offers training to staff and families on communication tools.
Participates in conferences, team meetings, and community events, and provides supervision to CFY candidates.
Assists with other tasks as needed, supporting a team-oriented environment.
