Job Description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Nephrologist to provide on-site care for Veterans at a VA Medical Center. The role includes a weekly outpatient clinic and on-call coverage as needed.

Key responsibilities include delivering comprehensive nephrology consults in inpatient and outpatient settings, managing conditions such as AKI, CKD, ESKD, electrolyte disorders, hypertension, nephrolithiasis, and kidney transplant patients. The provider will oversee kidney replacement therapies, evaluate extracorporeal treatments, and document all care per policies. Participation in quality and safety processes is required.

On-call expectations involve being reachable within 15 minutes and able to arrive within 60 minutes for emergencies, with coverage including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications include MD/DO with accredited training, Board Certification or Eligibility in Nephrology, an active unrestricted medical license in the U.S., BLS or ACLS certification, and fluency in English. Credentialing with the VA is also required.
